Last week saw the first anniversary of Hayle Runners’ support of Hayle food bank
For the past year, our members have been bringing donations of food and toiletries to the first club session of every month, which are subsequently taken to the food bank at Hayle Methodist Church. The past couple of collections have been particularly focussed on providing items such as sweet biscuits and tinned ham to help the food bank put together 80 Christmas hampers for their clients over the festive period.
Previously in the year, club members also raised over £1600 through London Marathon sponsorship and sales of club buffs.
