If you were on Hayle beach on Tuesday last week you might have heard shrieking and seen a herd of people in hi-viz clothes running/stumbling down the sand dunes before running a couple of miles down the beach. Or, in the interest of transparency, walking considerably less far while complaining about the softness of the sand – all methods of beach running are valid and nobody is judging.
We do our annual Beach Invasion every year to celebrate the clocks going forward, and the towans and trails becoming an option again for running on club nights. Having set off from the Bucket of Blood in Phillack, we returned there after our run for an amazing buffet and a lovely, social evening of chat, laughter, and mingling across the groups.
