In addition to the clubs visit to Helston to take part in An Res Hellys at the weekend, runners from Hayle have been competing in an array of other events nationally and abroad.
In Kraków, James Manning nearly enjoyed the 23° conditions at the Kraków Marathon, posting a time of 3:54:45.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Paul Allan, Chris Barrett and Corinne Gerrard were racing in one of the Abbott World Marathon Majors in Boston.
The trio acquitted themselves well with the following times:
Paul Allan – 4:19:12
Chris Barrett – 3:28:36
Corinne Gerrard – 4:14:35
Keeping with the marathon theme, Trish Merrett took part in the Guernsey Marathon. The route sees competitors following the route around the island which she completed in 4:19:47.
Meanwhile Ed Bennet, Kelly Bills and Curtis Hayes were running the Manchester Marathon.

A little closer to home at Reading, Julie Frost and Ian Curnow ran the Reading Half Marathon in 2:34:47 and 1:27:44 respectively.
St Agnes saw the return of the Salomon KvK. A challenging 15 mile route sees runners complete a two lap course featuring 1000 metres of ascent around the Beacon.
The race allows competitors to complete the route individually or as relay pairs.

Wrapping up the weekends non-GP related events there was also the Clive Marsh Spring Warm Up Meeting hosted by Newquay and Par Athletic Club at Par Track.
Jemma Kearney and Bonnie Swan both competed in the Discus 1K event with Jemma throwing for 25.43m placing 6th, while Bonnie managed 9th place with 21.02m.
