Muggy conditions turned the Sticker 5 into a sticky one

On Saturday evening 34 Hayle runners took part in the Sticker 5, a 5-mile undulating course which takes in the country lanes around Sticker – with the added treat of a sharp climb at the half mile mark. Over 200 competitors in total completed the race on a mizzly evening, with everybody receiving post-race pasties for their efforts.

The women’s team took a brilliant second place, so a huge well-done to Emma Paull, Anna Goodman, Julie Towers, Andrea Simmons, Zoe Renowden, and Kelly Bills. Emma Paull also came in as second woman overall! The men’s team did great work too, taking third place – that team was made up of Daniel Costello, Peter Barnes, Dominic Turton, David Guffick, Ian Curnow, and Mark Williams.
