Race 1 of the new Multi Terrain Series (7 miles trail race well just under), 17 Hayle runners took on a beautiful trail race Saturday evening.
A half mile loop around the village with lots of cheering locals and then into the woods and along the river. Lots of hills and steep rocky inclines along footpaths and fields made an interesting race.
Lots of big course PBs including Hels Cattran with over 5 minutes on her previous personal best.
The Hayle Runners mens team took 3rd place with Liam O’Neill, Jon Eldon, Frazer Humbles and Andrew Searle putting in strong times.
On the age category side, Jon Eldon was 1st in his 60-64 category while Liam O’Neill took 2nd place in the 35-39 category.
