A huge 92 Hayle runners took on the Stormforce 10 miler on a grey, chilly morning. Stormforce is one of the club’s favourite races (clearly!), and it was fantastic to see such a huge turnout with a healthy mix of seasoned Stormforce regulars and first timers. There were also more familiar Hayle faces dotted along the route cheering everybody on.
The race runs from Camborne, through Barripper, to Realwa and Leedstown, before looping back through Carnhell Green where runners retrace their steps and race to the finish at Camborne School.
The Grand Prix series got off to a particularly strong start for several members who won age category prizes in a competitive field.

The ladies’ team – made up of Kirsty Medlock, Melissa Nicholas, Lucy Paull, Lee Strickland, Fiona Gamble, and Julie Towers – also did brilliant work and took 3rd place!
