On the first weekend in October, nineteen runners from Hayle made the trip up to Wales to take part in the Cardiff half.
The race starts outside Cardiff Castle and runners then head down past the Principality and Cardiff City Stadiums on the way to Penarth. They take in Penarth Marina before heading to Cardiff Bay. The route continues through the heart of the bay, taking in the Norwegian Church and Wales Millennium Centre, before heading north of the city and ,ultimately, to a grandstand finish in the heart of the city at the Civic Centre.

“Nineteen Hayle Runners left for a Welsh carb-loading session and four came back with half-marathon distance personal bests. Our runners have been really looking forward to this one, with many making it the main focus of their current training.
The club is very proud of everyone who ran today – we don’t doubt that the results will encourage more of us to enter next year into this increasingly popular event.”
