On Saturday, 15 runners from Hayle took part in Bys Vyken Events’ Fordh Sen Mighal race.
The 11-mile event follows the only pilgrimage route in Britain that is officially part of a European Cultural Route. Travelling from Lelant to Marazion across the countryside, runners faced road, sand, trails, mud, and pebbles along the way. Needless to say, it being a Cornish trail race, there were also lots of hills with over 1500ft of total elevation. This did mean that there were also some stunning views, so every cloud! And speaking of clouds, the torrential rain even held off until everybody crossed the finish line
A huge well done to everybody who either took part in the race or marshalled.
