57 Hayle Runners made the trip up the coast yesterday to participate in the Newquay 10k. The undulating course took them from the town, out towards Crantock, before turning back for one last hill near the finish at the Sports Centre. Conditions on the day were ideal, overcast but dry and not too cold, and there was a good deal of support out on the route.
Emma Paull put in a particularly strong performance to not only win her age category, but also come in as second woman overall, which is a brilliant achievement in an impressive field.
